Kilmarnock (Barassie) put Irvine GC' s title hopes in severe jeopardy this week with a 4.5 - 1.5 win at Barassie in the club's final match in Division 1 of the 2013 Scratch league campaign.

The win took the Barassie club to second in the table behind Irvine, but the result, coupled with a 3.5 - 2.5 win at home by Loudoun over the league leaders, leaves Loudoun just two pints adrift with two matches remaining to play.

A win in any of their remaining two matches, at home to Irvine Ravenspark or away to Troon Welbeck, will see Loudoun retain the Division 1 title.

Ayr Dalmilling remain ahead of Rowallan castle at the top of the table, on individual tie difference, and have a game in hand over their nearest rivals.
