Despite a 5 - 4 away win in their final section match in the 2004 Area Team Championship, against Perth & Kinross at Blairgowrie on Sunday 19th September, Ayrshire just failed to qualify for the semi finals as North East defeated Stirling by 8 - 1 to progress to the last four from the section.



In the semi finals, North East face South Of Scotland whilst Lothians take on Glasgow in the other semi final.



Details of the Ayrshire match on Sunday are;



FOURSOMES (Perth & Kinross names first)



G. Campbell & M. Cameron lost to Alex Gourlay (Irvine) & David Addison (Barassie) by 2 holes



D. Simpson & P. Scott beat Stephen Spence (Irvine) & Robert McKnight (Barassie) by 2 holes.



M. Rose & S. Graham beat Stuart Macaulay (Barassie) & Steven McEwan (Barassie) by 4 & 3



Foursomes result :- Perth & Kinross 2 Ayrshire 1



SINGLES (Perth & Kinross names first)



M. Cameron beat Steven McEwan by 4 & 3



M. Rose lost to David Addison by 4 & 3



P. Scott lost to Robert McKnight by 2 holes



D. Simpson lost to Alex Gourlay by 4 & 3



G. Campbell beat Stuart Macaulay by 5 & 4



S. Graham lost to Steven Spence by 3 & 2
