As the 2013 Ayrshire Scratch Leagues enter their final few weeks of fixtures, the race for the five divisional titles is nearing a conclusion.
In DIVISION 1, Irvine GC look favourites to take the title following a 4.5 - 1.5 home win over near neighbours Irvine Ravenspark in their latest fixture. Loudoun remain in second place following a 4 - 2 win away at West Kilbride. Irvine's remaining two fixtures will be crucial as they are both away from home against their two closest rivals, Kilmarnock Barassie and Loudoun.
At the foot of the table, West Kilbride have a home match against Troon Welbeck and an away fixture at Kilmarnock Barassie as they bid to retain their Division 1 status.
Present positions in Division 1 are :-

IN DIVISION 2, Prestwick St Cuthbert's title hopes took a blow following a 4 - 2 defeat away from home against nearest rivals Ballochmyle, despite Craig Telfer having a hole in one at the fourteenth on his way to a 2 & 1 victory over William Fleming.
With two games in hand, Ballochmyle have the chance of overtaking St Cuthbert at the top of the table, although they face a hectic fixture schedule over the next few weeks. At the foot of the table, Largs are still seeking their first points as they try to avoid relegation, although they still have half their seasons' fixtures still to complete.
Present positions in Division 2 are :-
Remaining fixtures :- Ardeer Vs Ballochmyle, Ayr Belleisle Vs Prestwick St Cuthbert, Largs Vs Ballochmlye, Largs Vs Ayr Belleisle, Ayr Belleisle Vs Ballochmyle, Prestwick St Cuthbert Vs Caprington, Ayr Belleisle Vs Largs, Largs Vs Caprington, Largs Vs Ardeer, Caprington Vs Ballochmyle, Ballochmyle Vs Largs, Prestwick St Cuthbert Vs Ayr Belleisle. In DIVISION 3, Girvan hold a slim advantage over Troon St Meddans and New Cumnock with only a few fixtures remaining. A mix up with dates by Prestwick St Nicholas resulted in a 4 - 2 result being awarded in favour of Girvan in the fixture and the league leaders followed this with a 4.5 - 1.5 home win over closest rivals Trioon St Meddans, to go top of the table. In the other match played recently Prestwick St Nicholas snatched a 3 - 3 draw at new Cumnock, which could prove important at in the relegation battle, with Kilbirnie presently lying just behind St Nicholas, but with two games in hand. Present positions in Division 3 are :-
Remaining fixtures :- Troon St Meddans Vs Girvan, New Cumnock Vs Kilbirnie, Kilbirnie Vs Prestwick St Nicholas, Kilbirnie Vs Troon St Meddans, Prestwick St Nicholas vs Kilbirnie, Girvan vs Prestwick St Nicholas, Kilbirnie Vs New Cumnock IN DIVISION 4, Rowallan Castle and Ayr Dalmilling share top spot after dalmilling had a 3 - 3 draw away to Tam O Shanter. Present positions in Division 4 are :-
Remaining fixtures :- Ayr Dalmilling Vs Turnberry, Maybole Vs Tam O Shanter, Rowallan Castle Vs Turnberry, Maybole Vs Rowallan Castle, Ayr Dalmilling Vs Maybole, Turnberry Vs Rowallan Castle, Turnberry Vs Ayr Dalmilling. In DIVISION 5, Doon valley look odds on to take the title, with only two fixtures remaining. The deciding match will be their final away fixture at Moorpark, where any result in their favour will secure the title. Present positions in Division 5 are :-
Remaining fixtures :- Moorpark Vs Doon Valley, Abbotsford Vs Moorpark All remaining fixtures are scheduled to be completed by mid September
