David Miller (Kilmarnock Barassie) and Ricky Gray (Irvine) carry Ayrshire hopes into the last 32 of the Scottish Seniors Matchplay Championship at Alyth, after the qualifying rounds were completed on Tuesday 16th July.

The leading qualifying score fell at 140.

Gray, the beaten finalist 12 months ago at West Kilbride, had rounds of 76 & 73 for a 148 total whilst Miller scored 75 & 76 for a total of 151.

The cut fell at 158.

In the first round of the matchplay stages, on Wednesday 17th July, David Miller faces B. Smith (Kilmacolm) whilst  Ricky Gray plays I. Jeen (St Andrews New)

Other Ayrshire qualifying round scores :-

162 - A Harrington (Western Gailes) 82 - 80
163 - D Lindsay (Troon St Meddans) 81 - 82
168 - K Ross (Beith) 83 - 85
