Ricky Gray (Irvine) is into the last 16 of the Scottish Seniors Matchplay Championship at Alyth, whilst Ayrshire's other representative, David Miller (Kilmarnock Barassie), lost out in the first round of the matchplay stages.

Miller went down by 2 & 1 to B Smith (Kilmacolm) whilst Gray beat I Jeen (St Andrews New) by 2 & 1, in his bid to go one better than last years runners up place.
